Who are Eurowind Energy?

Established in Denmark in 2006, Eurowind Energy is one of Europe's leading renewable energy developers, with operations in 16 countries across Europe and the United States.

Eurowind Energy employs an experienced UK team based in Glasgow, established in 2021. The UK team has one operational wind farm and one consented 16MW solar farm at Howpark in the Scottish Borders, alongside the recently consented flagship Uisenis Wind Farm on the Isle of Lewis (189MW) — and a growing UK development portfolio of over 2.5GW.

Eurowind Energy is 50% owned by Holdings ApS and 50% by Norlys, Denmark's largest integrated energy and telecom group, with more than 700,000 shareholders and 2,500 employees.

Eurowind Energy develops, constructs and operates wind, solar photovoltaic and 'Power-to-X' assets across Europe and in the USA. We are dedicated to local, long-term solutions, and we believe that the future of energy supply is renewable, clean and sustainable. Projects are developed in close collaboration with local stakeholders, and Eurowind Energy only engages in projects that it, itself, wants to invest in.

Project development


A central part of our core business is project development. This is where it all starts. The overall purpose of project development entails everything from identifying areas for establishing wind -, solar - and hybrid parks to securing the financial agreements.

We have many years of experience in this area and we will be your professional partner throughout the entire process:

making long-term partnerships with our suppliers and employees. We aim to be the market leader within renewable energy solutions, as we believe that fossil fuels are at an end game.

It is important for us that we are transparent with our stakeholders. During the development of a new project, we always create a specific project website where everyone can follow the development of the project.
