Auchinoon Energy Park

Eurowind Energy Limited is bringing forward proposals for Auchinoon Energy Park, comprising up to eight wind turbines with blade tip heights of up to 200m, a solar photovoltaic array covering up to 60 hectares, and a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), on land approximately 2km south of the centre of Livingston, within the administrative boundary of West Lothian Council. The combined generation capacity of the energy park is expected to be up to 115.6MW, enough to meet the needs of approximately 74,199 UK homes each year while saving approximately 110,230 tonnes of CO2 annually*.

*Based on a Site-specific wind load factor of 39.3%, the 2024 industry average solar load factor of 9.5% (DUKES, 2025), average annual Scottish domestic household consumption of 3,323 kWh (DESNZ, 2025), and DESNZ's 448 tonnes of CO2 per GWh of electricity supplied (Digest of UK Energy Statistics, July 2025).
